The Mindoro State University Innovative Business Incubator for Biosystems Engineering Solutions (MinSU – iBIBES) was established on August 15, 2024, under the funding of the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HeIRIT) Program of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD), and Mindoro State University.

MinSU IBIBES aims to assist students, researchers, alumni, and entrepreneurs in producing innovative biosystems solutions. Its focus includes transforming biowastes into new raw materials, products, and bioenergy; food innovation; smart agriculture and fisheries; and leveraging technology to address community problems. The incubator provides comprehensive support, including prototyping services, mentorship, infrastructure, business registration assistance, seed funding, and market access.

The project is implemented by Mindoro State University, headed by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol (SUC President III), and is led by its Technology Business Incubator (TBI) manager, Engr. Randy A. Joco. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) MIMAROPA serves as the cooperating and monitoring agency




MinSU i-BIBES Joins ReSEED Program Assessment at Miriam College

MinSU i-BIBES, a proud member of MVINET, actively participated in the 2-day ReSEED Program Assessment for the 7 consortia, hosted by DOST-PCIEERD at the Henry Sy Sr. Innovation Center, Miriam College.

📅 Event Highlights:
✅ The assessment focused on evaluating the impact of the ReSEED Program in strengthening capacity-building, partnerships, and the growth of startup enablers across the country.
Mr. Fheter John Calanday represented MVINET, presenting its accomplishments, insights, challenges, and lessons learned in consortium development.
✅ The consortium outlined strategic next steps to boost the region’s economic growth and enhance the Regional Startup Ecosystem, guided by key performance indicators (KPIs).
MinSU i-BIBES leveraged the event to learn, benchmark best practices, and build connections with other Technology Business Incubators (TBIs) nationwide.

This collaborative experience reinforced the commitment of MinSU i-BIBES and MVINET to driving innovation and entrepreneurship in the region! 🌍✨
