The Mindoro State University Innovative Business Incubator for Biosystems Engineering Solutions (MinSU – iBIBES) was established on August 15, 2024, under the funding of the Higher Education Institution Readiness for Innovation and Technopreneurship (HeIRIT) Program of the Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (PCIEERD), and Mindoro State University.

MinSU IBIBES aims to assist students, researchers, alumni, and entrepreneurs in producing innovative biosystems solutions. Its focus includes transforming biowastes into new raw materials, products, and bioenergy; food innovation; smart agriculture and fisheries; and leveraging technology to address community problems. The incubator provides comprehensive support, including prototyping services, mentorship, infrastructure, business registration assistance, seed funding, and market access.

The project is implemented by Mindoro State University, headed by Dr. Enya Marie D. Apostol (SUC President III), and is led by its Technology Business Incubator (TBI) manager, Engr. Randy A. Joco. The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) MIMAROPA serves as the cooperating and monitoring agency




𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦 𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆

✨ 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦 𝟯-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗝𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 ✨

The 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦 team recently completed an inspiring 3-day 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 aimed at strengthening its mission to empower and innovate.

The event began with a heartfelt welcome from 𝑴𝒓. 𝑹𝒊𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒓𝒅 𝑫𝒂𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒔. 𝑴𝒂𝒓𝒚𝒍 𝑺. 𝑴𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒅, who underscored the importance of strategic planning for the growth and sustainability of the TBI. This was followed by workshops on crafting a clear 𝐌𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐥𝐬 for the program, setting the foundation for a successful journey ahead.

Day 2 focused on deep analysis of the internal and external environment using tools like the 𝑰𝑭𝑬 and 𝑬𝑭𝑬 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔. Teams conducted a 𝑺𝑾𝑶𝑻 𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒍𝒚𝒔𝒊𝒔, formulating innovative strategies and presenting their ideas for valuable feedback.

On the final day, the focus shifted to action. The team created actionable plans, identified 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁 𝗔𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀 (𝗞𝗥𝗔𝘀), and 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 (𝗞𝗣𝗜𝘀) to guide their implementation. By the end of the session, the team shared their highs and lows, celebrating achievements and reflecting on opportunities for improvement.

This workshop marked a significant step forward for 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗦𝗨 𝗶-𝗕𝗜𝗕𝗘𝗦, uniting the team with a shared vision and actionable strategies for the future.
